7 Tips for Throwing a Bachelorette Party

Over the years I feel like I’ve gotten bachelorette party planning down to a science. I know what games work {and are fun}, what type of food to serve, the easiest and most effective ways to decorate, and most importantly I know {or have a very good idea} on how to make the bride feel special.

Today I’m breaking down the most recent bachelorette party I helped my sister plan and am sharing some of these party tips with you.

Graduation Party Style with Vera Bradley

The other day I mentioned I was featured on Vera Bradley’s blog, Inside the Stitch. I was thrilled to create one post that was centered around party décor, and then they asked me to put together another post sharing what I would wear to a graduation party.

Say what!? Pictures of me??

You’ve probably noticed I tend to be more of a behind the camera kinda girl when it comes to the posts I share. But, I also love fashion and have wanted to break into it a little more this year. Up until this point I wasn’t sure how to really incorporate it in, but this is a lifestyle blog and fashion is obviously something we all have to make a decision on daily.

Thanks to this collaboration with Vera Bradley I’m stepping in front of the camera today  {sharing something other than my hands, which can frequently be seen in DIY posts} for what I hope will be the first of many fashion-inspired posts to come! 🙂

Vera Bradley-Inspired Graduation Party

Hello Friends!

One of my favorite things about blogging is getting to work with companies that I absolutely adore. Last week I was honored to be featured on Vera Bradley’s blog, Inside the Stitch.

 Since it’s graduation time {and I’m all about planning and decorating for parties} they asked me to put together a little party that was inspired by one of their newest patterns for summer called Sierra.

Of course I couldn’t turn down the chance to throw another party…especially one that tends to be a little girly 🙂

Flower Pot Update

Good Morning!

Last spring I was all about makeovers and updating my brown patio furniture {yuck!} with a fresh coat of spray paint. {You can see those projects here and here.}

A year {and long snowy-winter} later the furniture still looks like we spray-painted it yesterday. Not a bad problem unless you have a big spray-painting itch like I do. As luck would have it I managed to find something to update…our old flower pots!
