What’s In My Beach Bag
Happy Friday!
As you are reading this I am sitting by the pool enjoying this peaceful morning because…I’m on VACATION!
….it’s ok to be jealous if you want 🙂
For the next week I will be soaking up the sun on the beautiful beaches of North Carolina!
I could take this time to show you what I have packed for my trip, but that would take way too long because I tend to pack like I’m going away for a month.
A girl’s gotta have options though, right?
Instead I thought I’d give you a glimpse inside my beach bag to see what essential items I can’t live without while lounging around the beach all day.

DIY Envelope Throw Pillow Covers
Good Morning!
About a month ago I saw these super cute throw pillow covers in the H&M home collection…which by the way if you haven’t seen their home collection you have to check it out here! They have AMAZING stuff!
Anyways, back to the throw pillow covers.
Instead of following my mother’s motto of “if you want it get it”, I decided to wait for a coupon I could use on them or for a home collection sale.
So I waited…and waited.
Guess what!? Everyone else must have liked them too, because when I went to buy them they were gone. Just my luck!
On to Plan B…the good ole DIY route.

Do you ever have one of those weekends where you have a list of things to do, but all the sudden the weekend arrives and that list goes out the window? Well…I sort of had one of those this weekend! I’m only human, right!?
Our weather was GORGEOUS on Saturday! Like not a cloud in the sky, perfect temperature gorgeous. And why would anyone want to stay inside and work on their to-do list when they could be outside enjoying it!?
Father’s Day

So far I have told you a little bit about my sister, and my mom…but have yet to really introduce you to another very important person in my life…my dad!!
Since Father’s Day is Sunday it is only fitting that today’s post is dedicated to him, and all of the important things he has taught me over the years.

Have you ever been out browsing and find something really cool? Something you never knew you were looking for…and then all the sudden you see it and get REALLY excited!?
This happens to me more than I’d like to admit 🙂 And apparently it doesn’t take much for me to get excited either.
While browsing around Goodwill last weekend I found this amazing clam shell…and got a little excited!
Long Island Iced Tea Recipe

Did you know that tomorrow is National Iced Tea Day? Last Friday was National Donut Day…and now we get to celebrate Iced Tea!? I really like the month of June!
I was never much of a tea drinker until I spent the day drinking sweet tea at the Shabby Chic Bridal Shower last year. I drink a ton of water everyday, so it’s nice to throw in a little sweetness every now and then. And tea is such a nice refreshing drink on a hot summer day!
