It’s finally starting to feel like spring here in Indiana. {Sometimes our state misses the “it’s spring time now…please warm up” memo. Sigh.}
While patiently waiting inside for temperatures to warm up I couldn’t help but browse Hometalk and check out some spring mantel ideas for inspiration. And today I wanted to share these great ideas with you!

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this to you before but spring is my second favorite season. Fall of course is first {no-brainer}, followed by spring, then summer and winter {not necessarily in that order though because I equally get sick of the hot and cold weather at some point}. Sorry summer lovers hot, humid weather for long periods of time does nothing for me…or my hair 🙂
But there’s just something about spring that makes me very happy. All of the pastel colors, green grass, lightweight jackets, blooming flowers…it’s such a pretty time of the year.
And since it is spring time it’s only appropriate that I invite you back to the Purple Palace to check out some of the seasonal touches we’ve added. So welcome back!

I know it’s been kinda quite around here lately. This is a busy time of the year for me at work, so unfortunately I haven’t had as much time to craft, cook, write {have a life}…you get the idea 🙂

{Also known to some as summer time 🙂 }

My weekend was perfect thanks to a certain Big Ten team {Wisconsin} beating Kentucky…
Not because I filled out a bracket this year, or because I’m a Wisconsin fan…but because Wisconsin’s win helped my team remain the last team to hold a perfect season record…

And we {we meaning IU that is} also signed a much needed recruit. It was a great weekend for basketball…and the fun continues tonight with the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship game.
