Pleated skirts are a tricky thing. I’m not going to lie…I’ve had this super cute pleated skirt sitting in my closet for the past month and a half now. I had so many great outfit ideas planned around it for the month of December and then they just didn’t happen. Pleated skirts are the cutest and so on trend…but what are you supposed to wear with one {especially a metallic one}!?
After trying on too many tops to count with my pleated skirt I think I finally figured it out. Less is more. There is already a lot of detail added to to the skirt, which makes it best to keep the top somewhat simple. Try a basic denim blouse, or perhaps a sweater {I really like this one!}. Then accessorize it with a choker.
Lastly, add a pair of cute booties and call it a day! Pleated skirts are too cute and should never be left sitting in your closet for over a month {and a half} because you aren’t sure how-to wear them.
