One of my favorite parts about gift giving is the present presentation! I love mixing and matching paper and ribbon to easily create pretty, unique presents. Today, I thought I’d share a few easy gift wrapping tips with you that will hopefully make gift wrapping a little more fun for you too!
1. Use Different Wrapping Paper
Every year I find wrapping paper that coordinates color wise and then select a basic stripe print, a print that makes more of a statement and a print that sort of combines the two {think less busy statement piece}. Even though they don’t match identically, they always look great together!
2. Use Recycled Bows & Ribbon
This is probably a no brainer, but I really try and recycle bows and ribbons each holiday season. You can accumulate quite the collection doing this! Sure, you will have some odds and ends that don’t fit all packages, but you can mix and match a few pieces of short ribbon with a bow on top and it looks super chic! I also like combining longer pieces of ribbon with shorter pieces. Each year I invest in a few rolls of Christmas Tree ribbon found in craft stores {when it’s on sale!} because it’s pretty, generally long, and also holds up well use after use.
3. Add Small Ornaments or Homemade Gift Tags
This is something my grandma always did with our Christmas presents and I loved it! Recycle parts of old Christmas Cards {or buy them on clearance!} and use them as unique gift tags. Check out this tutorial here, here and here for more inspiration. You can also find inexpensive ornaments in the dollar section of most stores to add to your gifts for a personalized touch too!
Get out the tape and scissors, pop a bottle of bubbly, turn on a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie and get to wrapping!
