This past weekend I hosted a party I’ve been dreaming about since I moved into my apartment two years ago. I have huge windows overlooking a busy street in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. During the holiday season my view of the city becomes majestic with the holiday lights and horse drawn carriage rides. The perfect scene for a Christmas Dinner Party! So I invited six of my girlfriends over to enjoy the downtown holiday sights with me. Oh, and the table decor didn’t disappoint either – just as I’ve been envisioning for two years!

As you know I have always been a fan of winter whites, and nontraditional Christmas colors {and of course my Christmas Dinner Party decor had to coordinate with my Christmas decor and new area rug}. I started the tablescape with a white table cloth and then mixed metallics with a silver sequin table runner, gold chargers and metallic mercury glass votives. I bought a flocked strand of garland to use as my centerpiece, and added extra stems to give it dimension. I also placed a few colorful bulbs into the garland for extra color. For height I added crystal candlesticks to the center of the table. I gave each guest a Champagne ornament {wrapped in the cutest wrapping paper I’ve ever seen!} to commemorate the occasion.
The only thing that could have made this party even better would have been snow. But, overall it was just beautiful and fun as I have imagined!
