I’m not a cook, and I’m ok admitting that. I struggle following directions when it comes to recipes, despite being a pretty detailed person otherwise. So when it comes to preparing a dish for the holidays I stick with easy things like charcuterie boards. Probably because I enjoy the visual creation part of it most, and anyone can buy ingredients, place them on a board and make them look pretty – even a non-cook like me!

Holiday Charcuterie Board Contents:
Board: This slate cheese board is pretty classic and my go-to board all year long . You can also buy it in a pack of three {which I highly recommend!} with two smaller boards. I also love these holiday-themed serving boards. Pier 1 has lots of great board options, at affordable prices too!
Small Bowls: You’ll always need a few of these on hand when creating a charcuterie board. I recommend buying a few small and larger versions. Different shapes help create more dimension on your board too.
Meat: Spicy Salami, Prosciutto, Hard Salami, Pepperoni {I like to roll up some of the larger slices of salami}
Cheeses: The fancy cheese selection during the holidays is on point! And you can find great options at Trader Joe’s/Aldi’s for a fraction of the cost! My cheese choices are: Brie, Dill Havarti, Goat Cheese Log with Cranberries, Sharp Cheddar & White Cheddar
Crackers: You can buy an assortment of entertaining crackers super cheap! That is always my go-to option for variety. I also like to add mini baked pretzels!
Fruit: Dried Apricots, Grapes {the darker the better – I prefer black or purple & they are great for your skin too!}, Cranberries & Blackberries
Olives: Black & Green {sometimes I do stuffed olives for a fun touch!}
Jam: I usually like to provide two options – one sweet and one with a kick!
Nuts: Roasted Almonds
Garnish: Rosemary
Assembling the Holiday Charcuterie Board:
Apply all of the contents to the cheese plate โ I prefer to start with the larger items like the cheese, meat and crackers and then fill in the spaces with the smaller contents. You really canโt mess it up, and it takes minutes to create. And when you are finished you have a beautiful holiday appetizer that everyone will enjoy!
So much easier than following a recipe if you ask me! ๐
