The festivities surrounding my sister’s wedding have started…yay!! Earlier this month we had her bridal shower {see more of the decoration pictures here} and it turned out beautifully if I do say so myself! ๐
One of the highlights of this party was our Mimosa Bar. {That is of course where the โbubblyโ part of the theme comes from!} We decked the bar out with a sequins gold table cloth and made several tissue paper flowers to create a focal point above the bar. It turned out great, and was very easy. Today, I thought Iโd share this simple tissue paper flower tutorial with you.
Supplies:
Several pieces of tissue paper
Scissors
Glue Stick
Hot Glue Gun
Sheet of White Paper
Directions:
- Place two pieces of tissue paper on top of each other and cut out three different sizes of petals. {Tip: Once you cut a size you like use that for your petal pattern.} Cut until you have 9 petals total in each of the three sizes.
- Cut a small circle out of your sheet of paper to use for your petal base.
- Start with your largest petals and scrunch each one near the bottom of the petal and glue it to the paper base with your glue stick. Work your way around the base gluing each of the larger petals until the base is covered. Repeat this step with the second largest petal, gluing them on top of the first layer. Once that section is complete add the smallest set of petals on top. {Tip: Stagger each layer of petals on top of one another.}
- Next, fold a small piece of tissue paper in half and cut it into small sections. Then cut the paper at the fold.
- Lastly, use hot glue to attach this section into the middle of your tissue paper flower.
Thatโs it!
Mix up the colors of your tissue paper if you are making several flowers to add a variety of color. You can even make small leaves out of tissue paper too!
Such an easy way to add lots of color and personality to any party!
