July was such a nice, long relaxing month. I hate to see it go, but am looking forward to the last full month of summer {another super long one} before fall begins.
For the record I’m soooo excited for fall…but let’s recap July {and try to get through the month of August before we start talking about fall just yet}…
July started out bittersweet.
We had to say good-bye to this cute couple because they decided to move to Florida.
Florida over Indiana? Yeah…I don’t quite get it either, but my friends and I are so excited for this next chapter of their lives. Plus, we can’t wait to visit this upcoming winter.
I travelled down south myself for a week long relaxing vacay in Ocean Isle, NC with my family.
A week at the beach goes way too fast. I’m thinking we should stay the whole month of July next year.
Each summer I spend some time judging a few county queen pageants.
This July was full of them…and I loved it!
I received the sweetest thank you note from my best friend after throwing her baby shower.
In case I misplace this card someday I want to be able to go back through my archives and find it. It’s the simple heart-felt gesture like this that can brighten any day 🙂
I played golf in a league with my sissy this month…
…or maybe I should say attempted to play golf.
I had several bad shots, but somehow one found it’s way to the green.
That one good shot will keep me going back for more. I think I finally understand how golf can become addicting.
Lastly, The Bachelorette ended.
And I’m pretty sure I fell in love with Nick, his mom, his sister Bella and the rest of his family.
My heart broke for all of them when Kaitlyn chose Shawn.
But, I think he’s better off…and he definitely has my vote to become the next Bachelor. I’d also be cool with Ben H. {since he is an IU guy afterall}. Maybe it would be best if ABC gave them both a chance to be The Bachelors all season long. I’d watch 😉
