If someone asked me to pick my favorite party theme 9 times out of 10 it would easily be something shabby chic. I’m not sure if it’s the mason jars, twine, baby’s breath or the fact that I grew up living in the country that sways my decision…but I absolutely love it!
Earlier this month we threw a shabby chic baby shower for my best friend who is having a little girl in August. There’s just something about pink and burlap that goes so well together…but I’ll let you be the judge of that 😉
A party is not a party without a pretty dessert table.
Full of sweets…
And of course cake pops!
Baby’s breath, carnations and peonies can liven up any mason jar when placed perfectly on a pink doily.
Food always looks much prettier when placed on a burlap table runner.
{And some more pink doilies.}
Placing pictures of the baby’s sonogram around always adds a nice personal touch.
And sometimes you have to incorporate the home décor into the party theme…
These little pink bows did just the trick!
Makes the animals looks less scary, right!?
Of all the extra touches we added to the party these pink bows on the animals had to be my fave.
A baby shower wouldn’t be complete without a pic of the excited parents-to-be…
…underneath a protective mama bear holding one of her cubs {haha}!
I guess you could say this was more of a “shabby chic meets the wilderness baby shower”!
Still definitely one of my faves though 🙂
Have a good day!
