We made it through August…and I am excited!
August is a loooonnnngggg month.

Good Morning!
Do you remember the days before Pinterest?
The good ole days where you had to rip pictures out of magazines and put them in a binder…or even on a bulletin board?
I know, I know…definitely not as glamorous or as easy as Pinterest.
Recently I needed to make some changes to my home office, and decided it was time to make a real life pin board to display some of my ideas, inspirations and random sheets of paper that I need to have accessible at all times.
Plus I found some really cute fabric at Joann’s that I needed to incorporate into my office space somehow 🙂
Hello!
Summer is slowly coming to an end…and that means Fall is right around the corner.
Yay!!!!!!!!!
While we bask away in the heat and humidity for the next few weeks we might as well enjoy a Summer-inspired cocktail.
In today’s recipe segment Danielle is sharing a delicious Raspberry Sangria Recipe.
Happy Friday!
Last week I was approached by a super cute home décor website called Chairish.
{If you are like me…and have never heard of them before check them out Chairish.}
They seriously have the coolest stuff!
Anyways, they sent me a few different bar stool pics, and asked me to design a home bar inspired by the bar stool of my choice.
How fun, right!?
Here is what I came up with…
1. Home Bar Inspiration; 2. Wine Chiller; 3. Crystal Lighting; 4. Chairish Bar Stool 5. Champagne Picture; 6. Home Bar Inspiration; 7. Pink Straws; 8. Mirrored Tray; 9. Peonies; 10. Coasters (more…)
Good Morning!
One of my favorite things about summer is fresh produce.
And this summer I have been ALL about beets.
Love the taste, love the color, love the smell.
Usually I eat them plain, but have noticed a lot of tasty looking salads featuring beets.
So like any smart girl I asked my bestie Danielle to come up with a Beet Salad Recipe for me 🙂
Good Morning!
I know this typically isn’t an advice blog, and I don’t claim to be an expert in anything…although if there was such a thing as a Real Housewives franchise expert I’d say I would be more than qualified 🙂
Anyways, when I was a college freshman I learned a lot about myself and life. If I could go back again I would do some things differently. I also taught a freshman wellness class my senior year of college, and was exposed to the lives of about 50 college freshmen. So if I can help someone learn from my personal experiences {or those of my former freshmen students} I feel they are definitely worth sharing.
Whether you are a college freshman, know of one, or you used to be one like me 12 years ago {and can relate to what I’m talking about} here is a list of the top 10 things I learned about that exciting, yet nerve-racking freshmen year…
Hello!
Welcome back to my Back to School week!
Today we are talking dorm rooms…
It seems like yesterday that I was moving into my dorm room at IU…even though it’ll be twelve years ago this year.
12 years people…how is that even possible!?!
I will never forget the feeling I had as my parents drove away, and I walked back to my dorm room.
I was excited, I was nervous, I was alone, I was YOUNG!
What had I signed myself up for????
We’ll talk more about my Freshman year experience on Friday.
But today it’s all about dorm room décor!
1. Eiffle Tower Picture; 2. Marilyn Monroe Picture; 3. Audrey Hepburn Picture; 4. Arrow Décor; 5. Clip Lamp; 6. Futon; 7. Rugs; 8. Comforter; 9. Organization Shelf; 10. Pouf Seat/Foot Rest; 11. Storage Containers; 12. Step Stool (more…)
Good Morning!
For some reason I love Back to School time.
Weird I know, right!?
I mean I have been out of school for longer than I’d like to think {or admit}…but walking through the store aisles full of brightly colored pens, folders and notebooks makes me happy!
It must be the wannabe teacher in me.
The teacher that solely wants to decorate her classroom, grade papers and have the Summers and snow days off that is…not exactly one that has to teach anybody anything 🙂
Anyways, as I was leisurely strolling through the Back to School supplies section this year I found some super cool stuff!
Stuff I had to share with you…here are some of my Back to School Supplies favorites!
1. Binder; 2. Backpack; 3. Markers; 4. Pens; 5. Calculators; 6. Pencils; 7. Scissors 8. Notebooks 9. Message Flags (more…)
Good Morning!
I’m not what you would call a “griller”.
My grill is more of a patio decoration than cooking device.
I LOVE grilled food, but to take the grill cover off, turn it on and make something for myself is a lot of work.
Especially considering my oven can get the job done simply by opening it up 🙂
But…it’s Summer and you’re supposed to use your grill.
And it’s on my Summer to-do list…so Danielle (another non-griller) and I decided to give this grilling thing a whirl for today’s recipe segment.
Happy Wednesday!
Today I’m excited to be guest-posting for Katie, back over at View From the Fridge!
I’m sharing an easy diy floral arrangement that features….sunflowers 🙂
