Good Morning!
Summer is in full swing at the Purple Palace! And I’ll be sharing my Summer Home Tour with you on Monday š
Until then, I have another easy project to share with you…my summer themed silhouette pictures.
When we first moved into the Purple Palace we needed some wall art. We wanted to stick with our colorful theme, and not spend an arm and a leg on pictures. We decided to frame some patterned colorful pieces of scrapbook paper.
This is such an inexpensive way to get exactly what you are looking for. And in case you haven’t noticed there are about a million different scrapbook paper options out there to choose from. You can’t go wrong! Of course you could always frame some chic fabric too…again the options are endless!
This is how our pictures typically look…
Since I was adding a few summer home decor touches I thought I would brighten up a few of our pictures too.
I found this cute seahorse silhouette and anchor silhouette and knew they would be perfect additions to my new pictures.
I decided to use scrapbook paper for the seahorse, and leftover fabric for the anchor.
Then I glued the seahorse to some leftover fabric for it’s background, and glued the anchor to some scrapbook paper for it’s background.
Just a simple update for summer anyone could easily do!
Adds some bright summery colors don’t you think?
Have a great weekend!
