I wasn’t planning on doing another Bridal Shower post, but I had a few people ask questions about the game we played at the Shabby Chic Shower. So, I thought I’d break it down a little for you today.
I love playing games where you get to know a little bit more about the Bride and Groom, and their relationship. There is no better way to do this then by asking them each a series of mostly funny questions, with a few practical ones thrown in!
I did not come up with this list of questions on my own. It has been passed down to me by friends, and used to entertain guests at bridal showers for centuries I’m assuming π This is just my spin on it. Feel free to tweak the questions as you see fit for your shower. Now onto the game!
The Questions:
1. What is your favorite color?
2. Where would your dream retirement spot be?
3. Pie and ice cream, cake and ice cream, or just ice cream?
4. How many kids would you like?
5. What are you looking forward to the most about being married?
6. When you do laundry, what temp do you wash colors with?
A. Hot B. Warm C. Cold D. Don’t know
7. What is your favorite sport?
8. What was your first job?
9. Where was your first date?
10. If you won a million dollars, what would you do first?
A. Go on a cruise B. Go shopping C. Eat at a nice restaurant D. Invest
11. Which would you rather do?
A. Clean a toilet B. Clean the shower C. Clean out refrigerator
12. Who said “I love you” first and where?
13. What is the theme of your wedding?
14. What is your significant others best quality?
15. What is the first thing you noticed about your significant other when you met?
Before the shower have the bride and groom answer these questions. Make sure they don’t answer them together….that would take all the fun out of it!
Then you need to have the list of questions and their responses to read off to the guests at your shower. Decide ahead of time whose answer you want to read for each question, or you can even read both answers if you like each of their responses, which was often the case for me. For this shower my partner in crime read the questions, and I read their responses. It is very helpful to have a sidekick with this game!
Guests will hold up lips if they think the bride said it, and the mustache if they think the groom said it. I made these props using a free lip and mustache printable (similar to the ones found here), construction paper and a thin crafting stick. My lips and mustaches were double-sided and I inserted the crafting stick in the middle so it was covered, because I’m OCD like that and can’t have the stick edge showing. Remember, details people!
Super easy, interactive and fun!
And a few guaranteed laughs for sure π

Thanks! Please let me know. π

May 30, 2015 at 1:07 amHi!I plan on playing this game at a bridal shower next weekend. What do you do if the bride and groom have the same answer for a question?

May 30, 2015 at 12:25 pmHi Lainie! We only read one answer and had everyone guess. Typically, most people would only pick one anyways. Some were smart and held up both…those are the people that get the point π You could tell them ahead of time they can pick both, but then they might hold up both for each question haha! We didn’t and it worked fine that way. Good luck with your shower!
