Photo booths are all the rage these days. They are at wedding receptions, birthday parties and corporate events. They help capture special moments that guests will always remember. What do you do when you want to capture these moments but don’t have a photo booth?? You make a Caption Board!
My best friend got married last year and I wanted to make something fun to document our adventures during her Bachelorette Party weekend in Nashville, TN. I was beyond thrilled when I found a small black dry erase board with a detachable pink marker! Then I added some rhinestones to the frame to spice it up. Well, as super cute as this is, it didn’t really work as well as I wanted it to. The dry erase board was a little too small, and the pink marker didn’t show up that great. Lesson learned.
So, when one of my other besties was celebrating her 30th birthday with a night out on the town I thought I’d take another stab at this Caption Board.
I found the perfect sized white dry erase board from Target’s dollar section. Then I purchased some ribbon, rhinestones and scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby.
How To:
1. I printed out the number 30, cut it out and glued it to the scrapbook paper.
2. I used a hot glue gun to add the ribbon border all the way around the dry erase board. I let the ribbon overlap, and glued the remaining piece on the back side.
3. I again used the hot glue gun to place the “30” on the top of the dry erase board.
4. Lastly, I glued the rhinestones to the ribbon, making sure to space them equally all the way around the board.
This version turned out much better. Once again it was a hit!
Wednesday I will be talking about Princesses and Pizza. Stay tuned!
Have a great Monday!
