Truth be told I’m a little bit of a procrastinator. But instead of viewing this as a negative trait, I prefer to think of it in a positive way meaning I work really, really well under pressure or when I have a deadline to meet. So if you’re anything like me and make your Halloween costume the week {or night} before this easy Snow Woman costume might be right up your alley!
Do you have an old {and very boring looking} file cabinet sitting around your home or office? Most of the file cabinets that I’ve ever seen are a solid black or hideous tanish-brown color…yuck!

When you live in Indiana there are so many sporting events to look forward…including the Indianapolis 500. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the famous race, and to celebrate the occasion I put together a race-themed party for Shindigz!
The festivities surrounding my sister’s wedding have started…yay!! Earlier this month we had her bridal shower {stay tuned for the full shower post soon} and it turned out beautifully if I do say so myself 😉
A few years ago I hosted one of my most favorite themed parties ever…a Kentucky Derby watch party. Everyone dressed to the nines {think big hats and bow ties}, ate lots of Southern specialities, drank mint juleps and enjoyed the greatest two minutes in sports!

The obsession that I have with succulents and moss has reached an all time high this year. Boring old shadow box frame laying around…no problem! I can easily turn that into something pretty with some moss and succulents added to it 😉
Warm temperatures this past weekend have got me super excited for spring time! So much so that I updated an old spring wreath of mine, and gave it a completely new look 🙂 (more…)
Decorating a new space can be stressful. I thought I had my home décor all figured out, and then…I put all of my Christmas decorations away and realized I still have a ways to go {sigh}. But I am getting closer…yay!
Since becoming a blogger one of my favorite things to do is recap. I’d like to think that I have a fantastic memory, but as I scroll through my blog yearly {and monthly} I realize I forget about half of the things I do or create. Recapping usually brings a huge smile to my face and reminds me of why I chose to start a blog in the first place. (more…)
