Red, White, Blue & Black: 4th of July Outfit Inspiration

4th of July Outfit Inspiration | theblueeyeddove.com

The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. From the fireworks, to the cook-outs and the themed-American fashion, it’s definitely a holiday worth going all out for. I’ve always been a fan of wearing red, white and blue on the fourth, even before it was the in thing to do. But if dressing like a replica of the American flag isn’t necessarily your thing there are still plenty of less patriotic ways to incorporate these colors into your 4th of July outfit.

Lately, I have been discussing bodysuits with people a lot. I loved them back in the nineties {see more about that here}, and I really love wearing them now! A white and navy-striped bodysuit  is perfect for the fourth {also check out this bodysuit and this bodysuit}. Add a pop of red with a fun bandana, and you have the patriotic colors covered! Red, white and blue also looks great with black {what doesn’t look great with black!?}, so you can pick a cute pair of shorts to wear with your holiday-inspired ensemble.  I’d recommend these distressed denim cut-offs. They are my new favorite pair of shorts for the summer.

Going for a super casual look? White Converse sneakers have to be the most All-American tennis shoes! Not to mention they look great with just about everything.

I will of course still sport my American flag bikini though.  That is a 4th of July must for me. 😉

What are some of your favorite 4th of July fashion trends!?

Have a Happy Independence Day!
