DIY Flower Pots

Since it is finally starting to warm-up in Indiana I decided it was time to update my patio furniture, so this past weekend I spent half of my Saturday afternoon spray painting it. My index finger is still a little numb from spraying the paint, but you gotta do what you gotta do! And the furniture turned out great, so the pain is well worth it! My outdoor living space is almost complete, and I’ll be featuring it in an upcoming post.

DIY Flower Pots

In the meantime, while I was going spray paint crazy, I decided I might as well spray paint a few of my clay flower pots…because once you get started you tend to notice other things that would look great with a fresh coat of spray paint! I also purchased some floral fabric to add to the flower pots. My one big project turned into two, but that seems to happen when I get on a roll 🙂

Here’s how I made the DIY Flower Pots…

How-To Organize A Linen Closet

How To Organize a Linen Closet

Of all the rooms and amenities the Purple Palace has the one thing that is probably my absolute favorite is my linen closet. I know I’m weird, but I’ve never had one before. And after having one, I never want to go without one in the future! It is so convenient to have in my bathroom. Everything I need to use on a daily basis sits right inside this spacious closet, and all I need to do is open the door to grab it.

Unfortunately, I have been taking advantage of this great amenity…meaning it has been a cluttered mess for longer than I would like to admit.

Linen Closet Before

See what I mean? Linen closets should not look like this!

As you may remember from my Spring To-Do list I wanted to get it organized. I’ve been putting it off for WAY to long. In case any of you procrastinate about your spring cleaning like I tend to do, I thought I’d break down how I organized my linen closet to give you some inspiration…if nothing else. Are you ready to get inspired!? Here we go!

In today’s recipe segment, Danielle is sharing a few low-cal Cinco de Mayo recipes that you can indulge in guilt-free 🙂

Easy Bunny Picture

Easy Bunny Picture

I have been eying bunny silhouette pictures on Pinterest for the last few years, so this Easter season I decided it was a good time to make one of my own. They are so cute and easy to make…why wouldn’t you have one displayed on your mantle for Easter? Not to mention, I have been in love with bunnies for as long as I can remember. I think it stems back to a cute little bunny named Patty Rabbit from the Maple Town toy collection. Does anyone remember Maple Town? (more…)

DIY Easter Bunny Garland

Today I’m thrilled to share a very cute Easter Craft created by my blog mentor, April from House by Hoff! When I started to seriously consider this blogging journey I needed some help.  April was kind enough to meet with me and show me the ropes. If it wasn’t for her I’d still be twiddling my thumbs, wondering what the heck html code was! I can’t thank her enough for all of her help, and I’m super excited to have such a cool new friend 🙂

Please help me welcome April!
